I have had an extremely blessed life. Looking at others and the troubles in their lives I sometimes worry that eventually God is going to cause something extremely bad to happen to 'even things out.'

It may be that something awful will happen to you eventually, but not for the reason you describe. God doesn't put the same amount of suffering in everyone's life. He'll give you trials to face, but He knows what you're capable of. He will never put you in a situation that you won't be able to get through (with His help, of course). And hopefully, the experience will help you to grow stronger and nearer to him. Don't worry! God has great plans for you, even when they don't seem good at the time.

Don't panic! Events aren't controlled by an invisible man living in the sky. Events are controlled by 6.041.

Probability dictates that in a series of independent events, future outcomes don't depend on past outcomes. Good things happening to you now don't increase the probability of bad events later. In fact, if good things happen to you a lot, then perhaps there are certian factors at work that have increased your "good event probability". If so, this would predict that good things will keep happening to you in the future.

Unless, of course, the good things that happen to you have bad consequences for other people (I found $100,000 under my friend's bed! Lucky me!), and they start to resent you for it. Things like that might increase your probability of accidentally shooting yourself in the back of the head twice. But you seem like a good person to me, so that doesn't seem likely.
